I received my new camera, Canon EOS 60D....only somewhat intimidating to me.
I'm going to have to shoot from this puppy night and day if I'm going to be comfortable enough for the wedding that is in 20 days!
YIKES!
Take a deep breath.
Calm down.
Count to 10....
This new journey is going to be awesome!
My intent for this new blog is to post pictures that I've taken, things I've learned and hopefully get some feedback from readers (advice is always helpful!)
That being said, here are some shots from Day 1 of my journey.....
I love the irises in my back yard. This was an easy target. Not a bad shot. Didn't do much with it. Used the manual setting. Didn't mess with ANY other buttons at this point.
These pictures you can tell that I started to mess with the lighting...I deleted the really really really bad ones! (there were about 3 or 4). Still trying to familiarize myself with this camera and the photography language. DO NOT ask me what aperture is...I have no idea! NO. IDEA.
Played with that little button again. I think I may understand a little bit which way this is going...maybe...just a little bit.
I just threw this one in because I love Sophie. :)
Showing Robert my camera...Not sure what is happening with the shadows and such here...I didn't touch anything...honest!
Whoa! CLOSE...UP! At least he's good looking!
And this is the end of day one of my journey. There were several that got tossed...not even worth mentioning.
I'm looking for a hands-on class to take where I can get comfy with my camera. I also think I shall take Mariah's advice and just sleep with this bad boy and take pictures of EVERYTHING that comes across my path!
I totally encourage you to leave feedback and/or advice. I would LOVE for you to leave me other blogs and websites that I can learn from.
I'm excited and nervous. I love taking pictures. I love finding stories within the shot. I love to capture moments that will never happen again.
I really really don't want to mess this up. I've invested a ton of time and money....hope it's worth it!
