Cinco De Mayo...it doesn't hurt to ask!

Okee dokee.

Took the camera with me today to Cinco de Mayo.

There are all kinds of people you see when you head downtown!

This is my grandbaby, Aubree. You will definitely see many pictures of her!

Started messing with what I believe is the "light" button" Like I've said before, I don't speak the language yet.The first one of this set looks the best, then the second. The third and fourth ones don't look extremely bad, but they don't look great either.

These are here really because this looks like too much fun for one person!

OBVIOUSLY I NEED TO LEARN WHICH DIRECTION THAT BUTTON SHOULD GO WHEN I'M IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT AND WHEN I'M NOT!

YIKES IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY!

As you can see, I got a little bit better.

He played Devil went down to Georgia (or whatever the title may be)

I need to learn how to tweek my camera so that I don't get that nasty glare...although this is kinda cool.

This was fun. I tried playing with different focus points. Got some fun shots anyway.

This one I like because you can see I focused on the water...

These 3 shots I like because you can tell that I"m finally getting the hang of that little light button!

So you are probably wondering why my title to this post includes..."it doesn't hurt to ask." Well, while walking downtown today I watched a fellow photographer taking some pictures of bikes. His camera was a Nikon but looked waaaay fancier than mine. Therefore I figured he MUST know a thing or two and it wouldn't hurt to ask him a few questions!

So, back to my pics...with a little bit of knowledge from our 20 minute conversation:

I realize that in some cases, darker looks better. Not all, but some.

This is my daughter, her beau and my Aubree again. Cute, right?
This cutie patootie I just couldn't resist taking a picture of!

Another example of playing with the light...

They look like they were taken at different times of day!

Yup, there she is again!

Here are several more examples of taking the same shot at different settings

This one disappeared

I love taking pictures of this bridge!

Railroad tracks fascinate me for some reason...
Well, that's it for today....oh wait, no it isn't! I took some pictures of the moon!

Now, as you can see...it wasn't even dark outside (and the moon wasn't that big or bright either by the way).

This is getting better, but the moon is oddly shaped.

WHAAAAT?!?!?!?! I don't know what happened here.

Much, better.

Sorry for the lengthy blog. It's been a rather busy day for me! Goodnight all!
